Description: This is a concert setting of the Ascension text, although it could certainly be performed in the context of a worship service given resources and time. The grandeur of the refrain is mirrored in fanfare-like flourishes in the trumpets and long pedal points in the organ. Octatonic writing is featured for the "jubilatione" text and for the alleluias.

Note that the 5-part brass choir includes a piccolo trumpet in A.
